Wunnerful, Wunnerful! Autobiography of Lawrence Welk with Quarnhole!™

I remember being at my grandparents’ house on some Sunday nights and The Lawrence Welk Show would come on TV and we had to watch it. I didn’t drink back then, or play Quarnhole!™, but I wish I had. It definitely didn’t resonate with me; I hated it. He had a huge following though, and his style came to be known as “champagne music.” Sometime in 6th grade we moved nearby to a brother and sister whose names were Corky and Bubbles, respectively. I didn’t make the connection to champagne for many years, but I’m guessing it was their parents’ favorite adult beverage.

A festive, red book safe with bubble graphics on the front and gold, gothic lettering on the spine. The compartment has a picture of Larry and his accordion as well as a guy that slides his trombone with his foot (make sure your safe search is on if you google that).
