Webster’s New Secondary School Dictionary

Dictionaries seem like one of the first books to be displaced by the internet; them and encyclopedias. It kind of makes sense, they can be kind of bulky, and what with smartphones, what’s the point? Note to self: find some pocket dictionaries to make safes out of; for concerts and such. Ok, back to the write-up…I like words. I think I would’ve liked to be an entomologist, or is it etymologist? One studies word origins, the other insects. Dang. I wish I had a dictionary. I know, I could look it up on this here computer, but that’s not funny.

I’ll be the first to say it, this is a secondary school dictionary that, first and foremost, is second to none. The warm gray cloth cover with deep red graphics and titling on the front, back and spine is handsome and classy. It’s intellectual to boot. The complete package. It also happens to be very discrete, if you know what I mean.
