The Official Encyclopedia of Bridge with vintage playing cards

Of course we’re including unopened, vintage bridge size playing cards in The Official Encyclopedia of Bridge. This particular deck was chosen specifically for the nose-picking joker. You’re welcome. I’ve never played bridge, but I’ve played hearts and it sounds kind of similar. According to Wikipedia, “contract bridge, or simply bridge, is a trick-taking card game using a standard 52-card deck. In its basic format, it is played by four players in two competing partnerships, with partners sitting opposite each other around a table.” Hearts isn’t played in pairs, but I’m sure there are more differences.

Not only is this a good looking book safe, it’s of substantial size as well. Inside is the aforementioned, unopened vintage deck of KEM playing cards in a case (see pics). The book itself is in spectacular condition, with very nice, forest green cloth boards and gilt titling on the spine, with a gilt sprocket of sorts containing ACBL (American Contract Bridge League).
