The Last Battle with Quarnhole!™

This book was chosen for our 1st ever Quarnhole!™ game (cornhole with quarters) simply because the author’s name is Cornelius. Weak, I know, we’ll try to do better moving forward. Regardless, Der Letzke Kampf translates to The Last Battle. It’s about the events leading up to the Battle for Berlin in WWII. Cornelius Ryan also wrote The Longest Day and A Bridge Too Far, both of which had film adaptations. Both films had huge, impressive ensemble casts. The latter was directed by Richard Attenborough, who won an Oscar for Gandhi in 1983. He also starred in Jurassic Park. Nice resume, huh?

This is a cool looking book. All red, with bold black lettering and what looks like a relief print of what I’d expect to be Berlin on the front, spine, and back. There are also some colorful map remnants inside as well as Quarnhole!™, which is our version of cornhole for quarters (quarter not included). This might be the Greatest Drinking Game Ever! Then again, I might be drunk.
