The Green Berets Book

This book is in incredibly good shape for being 50+, but what would you expect from The Green Berets, am I right, or am I right? This book was a NY Times bestseller in ’65 and a year later, The Ballad of the Green Berets was a #1 song. Seems they were all the rage in the mid-60s, of course it wouldn’t be long before public opinion of the Vietnam War deteriorated rapidly. The author, Robin Moore, also wrote The French Connection, which was adapted into an Academy Award Best Picture winning film. Gene Hackman also won Best Actor for his portrayal of NYPD detective “Popeye” Doyle.

Light green book with dark green type on spine and outline of beret on front. I was able to salvage the dust cover image and put it in the compartment if you choose to go foamless.
