Real Book About Submarines

According to the Wikipedia, the first mention of a sub-like vessel was in 1562, used by those crafty Greeks. The Wikmeister goes on to say the 1st reliable info is from 1620, with a sub named the Drebbel. I don’t think I’d like submarine travel. I’m not claustrophobic, but I have a healthy respect for the power of the oceans. I like submarine movies, if that helps. 20K Leagues Under the Sea was probably the first I saw. Das Boot was quite good. I thought U-571 was more than just alright alright (it had McConaughey, get it?).

Great colors, great graphics, this little book safe is a gem. This is a great one for your kid and the upside is you’ll know one of their hiding places.
