National Geographic on Indians of the Americas

My repurposing of this book caused a bit of a moral conflict for me, considerning the plight of the Native Americans at the hands of the white man throughout U.S. history. I somehow ended up a white man, at least that’s what I’m told. I’ve never had any kind of economic advantage, so I don’t really feel white, but I am. I”m 100% certain growing up kind of poor and white was still easier than being a poor minority. That’s disheartening, but what’s even more so is that it’s not all that different today. We humans should focus less on our accomplishments and more on all that’s left to be done.

National Geographic sure has made some beautiful books over the years, and this is no exception. Incredible gold type and graphics adorn both the front cover and spine. The front and back cover are a rust color, while the spine is gray; both are cloth.
