Magriel Backgammon Bookgammon™ Set

This is kind of the holy grail of Bookgammon™ if you ask us. I mean, it’s a backgammon book for crying out loud. It’s like it was meant to be. I forgot to take pictures of the images used for the triangles, but the dust jacket was in decent enough condition to use for one set, while the other set is an image from a reproduction of a mid-eighteenth century news weekly using a game of trictrac allegorically to portray European power politics. Trictrac is a French game that uses the same equipment as backgammon, so bonus game right there, free of charge.

All black with gold lettering on the binding. This edition has a backgammon board embossed on the front cover; I have another that doesn’t for some reason. Paul Magriel was a professional backgammon and poker player, former junior chess champion and math professor.
