Hollywood Mayfair and All That Jazz

This is bandleader Roy Fox’s autobiography. When he was 16 he played alongside Miff Mole, Gussie Mueller, Henry Halstead, and Gus Arnheim. I was looking at a list of the most popular names in the 2000s and no offense, but they’re all so vanilla and boring. MIFF MOLE! Now that’s a name, right Gussie? You’re damn skippy. Hell, Skippy was probably a common name back then. I hope kids are still giving each other fun and funny nicknames at least; that would be redeeming. Speaking of redeeming, it looks like the name written in this book is Joseph Kearney, so as always, if you pay with a credit card or PayPal account with that name, you can redeem my 20% off offer (offest).

This is a nicely textured red book safe, if you’re the tactile type. I am. The gold type/fonts on the spine are incredible and in perfect condition. What I love most though is the photo I put in the compartment. It’s of our boy Roy and one of his bands. To me, it looks like the band at the Overlook Hotel in The Shining!
