Coach’s Guide to Public Relations

I played a lot of sports growing up and had some great coaches, but the one I tell stories about the most was a city league basketball coach I had when I was ~16. It was the most fun I ever had on a team. My best friend, Mike, was on the team, as were a bunch of fun guys. The coach was young, probably in his early 20s and we were able to cajole him into getting us cases of beer on occasion. A couple years later he hit the lottery, but kept his job at the market. What I remember most though is that he stuttered, and since he was ‘one of the guys’, this group of 16-17 year olds flipped him a fair amount of shit about it. The best/worst was during 20 second time-outs when we’d invariably pressure him into stuttering the entire 20 secs without ever getting to the plan. What a bunch of dicks.

This one’s small enough to throw in the gym bag. No judgement here. It’s a very stylish book safe as well. Deep red with classic, cream lettering and lines on the spine and front.

Got the book in 2 days and its very cool. Kids loved it when I showed them the secret compartment and after I added it to a row of books on my shelf, you couldn’t tell it was anything other than a book. Would make a great unique gift.
