Abelard Folk Song Book

Great graphics on this one, by a guy named Abner Graboff. Apparently his son was in the Cardinals, of Ryan Adams & the Cardinals fame. I read that Ryan Adams was instrumental in the Strokes’ breakup. Their first album is amazing. It’s rock, not folk. I’m not much into folk music, but I did see probably the greatest folk artist of all time once, Pete Seeger. He played with another legend, Arlo Guthrie at Waterloo Village in New Jersey in 1989. I went with a buddy whose aunt had a horse farm in the area. What I remember most is that my wisdom teeth were coming in and they hurt like hell. Somebody in my friend’s family was into homeopathic medicine and had what seemed like an entire pharmacy with her. She gave me some sort of chamomile sugar pills and it worked well enough for me to enjoy the show thoroughly.

To me, the graphics on this book outshine the slight discoloration to be expected on a light tan cloth cover that’s going on 60 years old. the black and red guitar playing chickens are on the front (day) AND back (night). I can also see dispensing with the foam because the graphics on the inside are spectacular! The front hinge also has some anomalies.
