This is one of my favorite book safes from our SaveYour Collection. The blue/red graphics remind me of the 3D ‘technology’ of my youth. Remember a few years ago when 3D tv was being forced down our throats as the next big thing? That didn’t last long, but it’ll probably be back in an improved form at some point when sales lag. When I was getting my RTVF degree the US was still deciding what to do with its extra bandwidth that the switch to digital tv was about to free up. I chose to write a paper on the subject and studied it at great length. The choices were either high definition or interactivity. The UK had already made the switch and opted for interactivity. I thought we should follow suit. We didn’t and it seems we’re yet to reach the pinnacle of HDTV.
The cloth cover here looks like a buttercream color, which is a nice contrast to the red and blue graphics and lettering. The blue map on the inside looks nice as well.
