Dice baseball has had many variations over the years, but in each case the top priority is to have fun! We here at the Public Slybrary take our fun seriously, so we prefer to make it a drinking game as well. After all, beer and baseball are two great tastes that taste great together!
Gameplay*:
Players simply take turns rolling the dice. Each turn is a half-inning and scoring is as follows:
[1] [1] — strikeout
[1] [2] — out
[1] [3] — also an out
[1] [4] — another out
[1] [5] — bunt single
[1] [6] — out and runners advance
[2] [2] — double
[2] [3] — single
[2] [4] — single
[2] [5] — hit by pitch
[2] [6] — out and runners advance
[3] [3] — triple
[3] [4] — fly out
[3] [5] — also a fly out
[3] [6] — another fly out
[4] [4] — double play and batter and lead runner are out, unless bases are empty, then it’s a strikeout
[4] [5] — base on balls
[4] [6] — strikeout
[5] [5] — double play and two most advanced runners are out, batter is safe; if only one runner or no runner is on base then it’s a strikeout
[5] [6] — foul out
[6] [6] — home run
